Plant Description

It is a herbaceous perennial meaning it emerges year after year from underground rhizomes. It grows in a clumping form with multiple pitcher-like leaves rising from a central point.

Stem is slender, striped, and speckled. This unique pattern evokes the texture of real snake skin, adding to the plant's cobra-like theme.

Leaves are usual 2, digitately compound, with 5 or more thick, glossy, narrow elliptic leaflets 6-12 cm. The leaf stalk mottled with pink and brown,

Flowers are tiny and greenish-yellow, residing on a stalk called the spadix nestled within the wide-mouthed pitcher.

Fruit is capsule-like that mature into brown fruit. This fruit contain numerous tiny seeds that disperse to ensure the continuation of this captivating carnivorous plant.
