Food - Petioles are eaten raw in Palpa district. Medicine - A leaf paste is applied on cuts and toe wounds due to long period in mud especially during monsoon

Plant Description

It is compact perennial herb or subshrub.

Stem is dark pink, reaching heights of 6-8 cm.

Leaves are small, with a size range around 6 cm long.

Flowers are rose pink with beautiful yellow pollen. Borne in clusters and relatively long-lasting.

Fruit is likely to be three-winged capsule, green maturing to brown, and small in size.
