Plant Description

It is a small, compact, usually single-trunked palm grow up to 1.5-1.8m tall.

It has a slender green, flexible, tubular, spine-free stems with generally pinnate foliage.

The crown bears 3-10 long pinnate leaves, with the number increasing as the plant matures.

Small, light yellow, yellow, or orange-red odorous flowers appear on irregularly branched petioles that grow below or among the leaf.

Pea-sized berries develop after flowering.
