Plant Description

It is grass-like clump-forming evergreen perennial. Grows in a rosette-like form with arching cascading leaves.

Stem is short and inconspicuous, usually hidden beneath the base of the leaves, functions as a storage organ for nutrients and water. Sends out runners (stolons) that produce the baby spider plants.

Leaves are linear, strap-shaped with pointes ends, 20-40 cm long and less than 2.5 cm wide. Depending on the variety, the leaves may be solid green or variegated with white or cream stripes.

Flowers are small and white, appearing on arching stalks that emerge from the center of the plant. Not particularly showy, but add a delicate touch during blooming.

Fruit is in the form of capsule containing seeds.
