Plant Description

It is branched shrub growing to a height of 100-300 cm.

Stem is stout, light-colored with numerous pale, hairy young branches.

Leaves are oppositely arranged, light green crowded at branch ends. They are oblong-lance shaped, finely serrated, measuring 10-15 cm in length, with a dark green upper surface and a whitish, hairy underside.

Flowers are tiny white arranged in dense, upright spikes resembling a squirrel's tail. Each spike is 5-10 cm long and covered in fine hairs.

Fruit is small, dry containing seeds.
