Plant Description

It is robust perennial grass growing up to 300 cm tall.

Stem is stout, erect, reaching a diameter of 1-2 cm.

Leaves are long, linear, up to 100 cm in length and 1.5 cm wide, with a rough texture.

Flowers are small, inconspicuous, arranged in large, drooping panicles up to 60 cm or more in length.

Fruit is small, dry, enclosed within the flower structure.
