Plant Description

Perennial herb 12-15cm tall.

Stem sheaths are green when young and turn yellowish brown when mature, and are long and gradually tapering upwards from a flattened base.

Lanceolate, with a pointed tip.

Rare

Fruit is a small, dry grain known as a caryopsis.
