Plant Description

It is short-lived perennial often grown as an annual reaching 30-60 cm tall. Bushy or clump-forming with multiple stems.

Stem is smooth, erect with slightly swollen nodes.

Leaves are narrow, blue-green, 5-12 cm long and 1-2 cm wide.

Flowers are 3-8 cm diameter. Petals: Five fringed or serrated petals in various colors like red, pink, white, yellow, and even bi-colored varieties (almost all colors except true blue). Fragrance: Mild, spicy scent.

Fruit is capsule containing seeds, but not ornamentally significant.
