Plant Description

It is deciduous tree with a broad spreading crown. Can reach a height of 18-24 m and a spread of 6-12 m.

Stem is stout and has spiny branches.

Leaves are compound with three diamond-shaped leaflets, each about 15 cm long.

Flowers are bright red or white, 5-8 cm long, arranged in dense clusters.

Fruit is long, cylindrical pod, about 38 cm long, containing reddish-brown seeds.
