Plant Description

It is twining vine reaching 200-300 cm in height.

Stem is slender, delicate, and requires support for climbing, typically less than 2 cm in diameter.

Leaves are 3-4 cm long, pinnately divided with 9-19 thread-like lobes on each side, resembling a delicate fern frond.

Flowers are trumpet-shaped, with 5 pointed lobes at the opening, measuring 1.5-2.5 cm long and 1-2.5 cm wide. Colors include vibrant scarlet red or occasionally white. Blooms open in the morning.

Fruit is explosive capsule releasing 4 black seeds when ripe.
