Plant Description

Perennial herb.

Hollow, hairless flower stalks emerge from a rosette of basal leaves.

Deeply lobed, basal rosette, green with smooth or slightly toothed edges.

Bright yellow flower heads resembling a single flower, surrounded by green bracts.

Round achenes with a pappus (fluffy parachute) for wind dispersal.
