Plant Description

Perennial herb 25-40cm.

Round, smooth, and hollow, with a green or slightly reddish color. May have a waxy coating.

Reduced to tiny scales or absent altogether. Photosynthesis primarily occurs in the stems.

Small, inconspicuous, and greenish-brown. Arranged in loose clusters at the top of the stems. Flowers are not very showy but contribute to the overall texture of the plant.

Small, brown capsules containing tiny seeds.
