Plant Description

Submerged aquatic plant.

Stout and blue-green in color.

Abundant, whorled, pinnately compound, and finely dissected. Submerged leaves are 0.6-1.5 inches (1.5-3.8 cm) long and feathery, while emergent leaves can be broader with fewer leaflets.

Inconspicuous, small, greenish-yellow flowers with four petals, produced above the water surface in spikes.

Small, four-lobed capsules containing seeds.
