Plant Description

It is bulbous perennial herb growing 15-30 cm tall.

Stem is round, hollow scape (leafless flower stem) arising from the bulb.

Leaves are narrow, linear, dark green, 15-30 cm long, arising from the base.

Flowers are showy, fragrant, yellow with a central cup, borne in clusters of 2-6 on the scape.

Fruit is three-valved capsule containing black seeds.
