Evergreen tree 3-10m tall.

Woody, with flaky grey bark.

Simple, opposite, oval-shaped, with entire margins.

Fragrant, white with an orange-red center, produced in clusters, opening at night and closing in the morning.

Flat, brown, bilobed capsules containing seeds.
