Plant Description

It is erect annual herb growing up to 25 cm tall.

Stem is slender, often forked at the top.

Leaves are elliptic or ovate-lanceshaped, 1-6 cm long and 0.5-3.5 cm wide. Arranged oppositely at the base of the plant and crowded towards the top.

Flowers are yellow, 0.4-0.5 cm long. Arranged in one-sided racemes up to 8 cm long. Found in leaf axils, at branch ends, or laterally.

Fruit is capsule-like, obovate in shape, about 0.25 cm long and 0.2 cm wide. Flattened or notched at the tip with narrow wings.
