Plant Description

Deciduous shrub2.5 m tall.

Upright, with smooth, reddish-brown bark that becomes grayish-brown with age.

Light green in spring, turning darker green in summer, and vibrant orange-red in autumn. 5cm long and 2cm wide.

Single, pale pink to white flowers with five delicate petals.

Develop into small, purplish-black drupes.
