Plant Description

It is attractive compact mounding (rounded dome-like shape) shrub reaching a height of 100-300 cm.

Stem is woody supporting the shrubby growth.

Leaves are lance-shaped to elliptic, measuring 4-10 cm in length and 1-2.5 cm in width. Leaf margins are crenate-serrate with a pubescent surface. Leaves are attached by short petioles.

Flowers are showy, 1.2-1.3 cm across, displaying colors ranging from purple, blue, or mauve, occasionally white with a bluish tint. Flowers have a 1-1.2 cm long tube and a 5-lobed limb. Long stamens and style extend beyond the flower.
