Dye - The yellow flowers are used to make a dye for clothes and paints.

Sub tropical biome, at altitude of 500- 2300m.
Perennial shrub 1 m tall.
Leaves are elliptic to inverted lance-shaped.
Showy, yellow to golden yellow. Measure about 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide. Funnel-shaped with five obovate petals. Fine reddish veins in the throat (nectar guides).

Flowering: November-May.
