Plant Description

It is epiphytic cactus (grows on trees in the wild).

Stem is segmented, flattened to round in cross-section, dark and glossy green.Two teeth at the tip of each segment. Graceful and arching.

Leafless - Photosynthesis occurs in the stems.

Flowers are bilaterally symmetrical, hooded, tubular shape, 7-12 cm long, 4.5 cm wide. Colors: red, pink, purple, or multicolored. Style purple, ovary round. Receptacle (base of flower) 4 cm long. Borne at stem joints and ends.
