Plant Description

Evergreen shrub 0.5- 1m.

Slender, green, and parasitic, attaching to and growing on host trees.

Young leaves have a brownish or ferruginous (rusty brown) pubescence (hairy covering). Mature leaves become glabrous (smooth).

Small and inconspicuous, clustered in axillary (growing in the angle between leaf and stem) or leafless nodes. Each flower cluster has 3-7 individual blooms. Yellowish-green color.

Fleshy, globose (round) drupes. About 3 mm in diameter. Green turning to black when mature.
