Plant Description

It is epiphytic cactus (grows on trees and rocks).

Stem is long, sprawling, and aerial (doesn't root in soil), can reach several meters in length. Green, with ribs and sometimes aerial roots.

Leaves are reduced to small scales.

Flowers are enormous, fragrant, white flower with a single night bloom, up to 30 cm in diameter. Long, narrow petals and numerous stamens.

Fruit is oval or round, green to red, fleshy fruit, covered in spines, up to 6 cm long.
