Plant Description

Annual or perennial herb or shrub reaching 0.5-3 m

Erect or spreading, hairy.

Alternate, simple, ovate to rhombic (diamond-shaped) with pointed tips and serrated margins. Leaves are hairy on both surfaces and 2-7.5 cm (0.8-3 inches) long.

Yellow with five petals, solitary or clustered in leaf axils.

Small, segmented capsules containing numerous, kidney-shaped seeds.
