Plant Description

It is evergreen perennial plant forms a clumping growth pattern with new leaves emerging from the base.

Stem is short and inconspicuous, often described as a fleshy rhizome. This underground structure stores nutrients and helps the plant spread.

Leaves are large, glossy, and dark green. These leaves are oval to lanceolate in shape, reaching up to 20 cm long and 9 cm wide. They grow upright from the base of the plant and have prominent midribs.

Flowers are small, white, borne on a spadix (stalk) that's surrounded by a much larger, white, trumpet-shaped spathe (modified leaf). The spathe can reach up to 20 cm long.
