Plant Description

It is perennial herb sprawling or decumbent growth pattern reaching heights of 30-60 cm (up to 90 cm in some cases). It grows in loose clumps with branching at the base and dense star-shaped hairs towards the top.

Stem is sparsely tufted, meaning they arise in small clusters. They are diffuse or decumbent, spreading outwards or leaning downwards. The base of the stem has branches, and the upper parts are densely covered in star-shaped hairs.

Leaves are from ovate or elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, 1-10 cm long and 0.8-3 cm wide. Both surfaces are adorned with star-shaped hairs, and the midvein is clearly visible on the underside. The base of the leaves can be rounded, clasping the stem, or rarely narrowed into a short petiole (leaf stalk). The tip of the leaves ends in a pointed or sharply pointed shape.

Flowers are tiny white with deeply divided petals cluster on hairy stalks. Gray-green sepals (0.4-0.6 cm) have star-shaped hairs and pointed tips.

Fruit is capsule-like, ovoid-shaped, measuring 0.4-0.5 cm and splitting into six sections (valves) to release the seeds.
