Plant Description

It is annual herb with an upright bushy growth form.

Stem is erect, single stem reaching up to 100 cm tall.

Leaves are finely divided with 3-12 cm overall length. Each leaf is further divided into 9-25 principal lobes or leaflets. Leaf shape of the leaflets is lance-shaped to linear-lanceolate.

Flowers are large, showy flower heads borne singly on stalks 3-10 cm long. Ray florets come in various shades of yellow, orange, and red-brown, depending on the variety. Single or double flower forms are available. Few to hundreds of ray florets per flower head. 50-120 disc florets in the center of the flower head.

Fruit is dry, single-seeded.
