Plant Description

It is low-growing herbaceous perennial forming a rosette of leaves. Can reach heights of 10-30 cm when flowering.

Stem is hollow, cylindrical, and leafless flower stalk.

Leaves are basal, lance-shaped with deeply toothed margins and can be 5-20 cm long.

Flowers are bright yellow, composite flower head on a single stem. Flower head is about 2-5 cm wide.

Fruit is achene with a pappus of white hairs for wind dispersal.
