Plant Description

It is a clump forming herbaceous plant arising from tubers grows to about 61 cm in height.

Stem is short and inconspicuous, arising from a fleshy underground rhizome that stores nutrients and anchors the plant.

Leaves are large, broad arrowhead-shaped with smooth, waxy surfaces. They emerge from the base of the plant and form a lush, green backdrop for the flower. Leaf color can range from deep green to a slightly bluish hue.

Flowers are the iconic, it's a modified inflorescence called a spathe. This spathe forms a trumpet-like sheath, usually white, encasing a central yellow spadix (spike) with tiny flowers.
